Abstract

The media, which is one of the most effective tools for spreading and announcing innovations, also functions as an educational tool in delivering health-related information and innovations to wide target audiences. It is possible to inform the individual and the society on health-related issues, which are increasingly reported in the press, and can become dangerous if the information provided is incomplete or misleading. Comparing health journalism professionally is of great importance compared to many fields, information containing false information can have serious consequences for public health. The way to do “healthy” health reporting is information on the issues that concern the public; It passes through delivering to the society in an accurate and objective manner within the framework of ethical principles. Especially in times of coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic that deeply affects the whole world, accurate information of the public is of great importance for public health. In our study prepared within this framework, by focusing on health journalism, the issue of 'healthy' health journalism in the media was evaluated specifically for the coronavirus epidemic and solutions were proposed
