Abstract
Cumhuriyet dönemi şairlerimizden ve saf şiirin temsilcilerinden Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı’nın dış görünüşünden memnuniyetsizliği vardır. Ahmet Haşim ve Necip Fazıl Kısakürek’teki vücutlarının bir parçası olan başlarından memnun olmama duygusu Tarancı’da da vardır. Fakat Cahit Sıtkı’da sadece baş değil, vücudun genelinden hoşnutsuzluk vardır. Fiziki görünüşünden memnun olmamak beraberinde, önce içe kapanıklığı devamında da alkole bağlanmayı getirebiliyor. Bedensel memnuniyetsizliğin peşi sıra gelen içine kapanma duygusu, şairin hem sosyal hayatını hem de çevresel ilişkilerini etkilemiştir. Doğuştan gelen çekingenlik hissine bir de bu fiziki olarak “çirkin” olduğu düşüncesi eklenince şair, başta karşı cinsle ilişkileri olmak üzere bazı sorunlar yaşamıştır. Bazı edebiyatçılar gibi Tarancı da, yaşadığı bu zorlukları yeri geldikçe eserlerine yansıtmıştır.
