Prejudice, which is described as hüküm prejudice arasında among the people, refers to the weak perceptions that are far from the facts in our daily discourses. Prejudices that manifest themselves in many areas of social life often appear in media representations. Media organizations; It shapes the value judgments in society by representing people and events and contributes to the formation of attitudes and convictions in the direction it aims. Considering the power of the media in the formation and shaping of individuals' thoughts and value judgments, we can say that mass media normalizes gender inequality by producing sexist discourses. The issue of how women are represented in the mass media is also important in this context and is effective in determining gender stereotypes. The way the newspapers represent women, the headlines thrown, the photographs used in women's news give us an idea of what the place of women in society is and therefore the gender patterns. In this study, the concept of prejudice and the forms of prejudice we have encountered in the media are discussed and biased media representations for women are emphasized.
